Formulation Bench: Where to Build It and Make a Tooth

Look in the Writing Room beneath your home, also called the Writing Basement in guides. The Formulation Bench unlock is Church Lighting I in Theology. Unlock the blueprint, build the bench, then use a Skull for the Tooth recipe; extracting a skull is not the same as crafting the tooth.

Start with the step you are missing

Unlock the bench, then go downstairs

Open Theology and look for Church Lighting I. If the node is unavailable, read its prerequisite before gathering more points; the locked-technology checks help distinguish currency from a progression gate.

Once the room is accessible, go beneath the Keeper's home and check its building desk for the Formulation Bench. Prima Games' Fairy quest walkthrough identifies both Church Lighting I and the Writing Basement route. The task is to place a researched station, not to find a tooth lying in the world.

Check the material bill and finish the frame

Prima's release blueprint guide lists 4 Wooden Planks, 4 Bronze Details and 1 Polished Bronze. Do not substitute Boards for Wooden Planks or ordinary Bronze for Polished Bronze.

Showgamer's workstation guide gives the same materials and says to finish the frame with a Hammer at Building mastery 2. Check those requirements on the construction prompt if placement succeeds but the station is not usable.

A 1.004.2 data reference instead lists 5 Bronze Details. Use the bill displayed in your installed game when it differs. The quantities above come from release guides, not a 1.007 construction test by this site.

Make the Tooth at the Formulation Bench

  1. Obtain a Skull through the Autopsy Table, following the extraction requirements shown in your build.
  2. Take the Skull to the completed Formulation Bench.
  3. Select the Tooth recipe and check its displayed requirements before starting the craft.

Prodigygamers' September 24 Tooth guide describes this sequence; Prima's Fairy walkthrough above also identifies Skull → Tooth at this bench. Neither the Writing Desk nor a colored Tech Point balance replaces that crafting step.

If the recipe is missing, first confirm the station's name and read any lock shown on the recipe. If the correct station becomes unresponsive, record the item, action and build for support; do not apply a Study Table fix to a different workstation or delete your save to test it.
